I can’t look at the Ten Commandments, a cross, a group of students praying in public because it’s offense to a few heathens. But you expect me to look at two gays in a tongue-wrestling match and that be OK in public? No! I don’t want to see it nor do I want my young impressionable students or my unborn child witnessing this PDA (public display of atrocity)!

1. First of all, the Ten Commandments do not belong in our courtrooms, crosses don't belong on federal property either, and if I know right, there ARE Christian clubs in public high schools and they DO pray. So that is still allowed so he can just shut up!

2. Whereas in the Constitution it says there must be separation of church and state, I DON'T remember anywhere in the Constitution the Founding Fathers wrote that two same-sex adults couldn't love each other.

by the public. That is, you can meet with your prayer group in a public park, and you can wear a tee-shirt with the ten commandments to your public school (unless is causes a fight!).

All that's prohibited is government advocacy of a particular religion -- a prohibition in place to allow for the free expression of all religions.

And yeah. In all my years at liberal colleges and in gay-friendly towns, I've never seen a gay couple do more than peck each other on the cheek. But I've seen hetero couples with their hands down each other's pants. Ugh! Pretty easy to look away, though.

This woman seems to have a very vague sense of the differences between the public and private spheres. I guess that's what happens in a country where the town square has been largely obliterated by the privately owned shopping mall.
