I thought this question bore repeating here. A caller into Thom Hartmann's radio show posed the riddle that since Republicans always like to ask if the world was better off without Saddam Hussein, it must also follow that the world is better off without Mohammed Atta.

which is what such a silly question deserves. I'm assuming (against all reality, I realize) that Atta could have done what he did on Sept 11, 2001, and still be alive.
