2. The Air Force has always had that capability

The Security Police or since I retired Security Forces. They have two missions, peace time, law enforcement or security. During war time they are the infantry of the air force. They go though air base ground defense school, any number of army schools, Rangers, Sniper School. I used to get a kick of going through a mobility line, all of us SP's would be loaded down with our M-16's, machine guns, full combat load, back packs, going though the line doubled over. The maintenance guys and such would be going though with their little over night bags.
