Wal-Mart website offers happy spin to all kinds of questions
It's called WalMartFacts.com

http://www.walmartfacts.com/Default.aspx
Here are some facts that speak for themselves:

* Wal-Mart offers some fashion of health insurance to 500,000 of its 1.2 million elligible "associates."

* Seventy-four percent of the 1.2 million are full-time employees.

* Currently, 3,200 associates are on military leave.
* In 2004, more than 38,000 Wal-Mart associates served in the military.

* Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is the world’s largest retailer, with $256.3 billion in sales in the fiscal year ending Jan. 31, 2004.

Wow! You'd think a company that makes all that money could offer health coverage to ALL its employees. Damn leeches.

You can also share your opinions with Wal-Mart.

1. They simply don't want to choose the Costco route with employees
Wal-Mart is built on the notion of making prices as low as possible. That includes keeping labor costs to a minimum. It is their philosophy, and the owners are satisfied with that. They're aggressive with this, and it helped them to become the world's largest retailer.

Where I live, Wal-Mart is the only big retailer left, and they're busy in a price war with the local Food Max, one that they're winning.
