5. Well, I surely don't "know" this.

Democracy was forced on Germany, Japan, Italy, the American South, and at the formation of an independent government, on India, Israel, Oz, NZ, Canada, and various nations in the Pacific and the Caribbean.

It doesn't work too well in Africa. It's never been tried in the Arab world before.

The reason for opposing the Repug war on Iraq isn't that that can't be done. It's that it's morally wrong to kill people to line corporate pockets.

The sooner it sinks in, the sooner Americans will stop dying in the middle east. You can successfully assist people in remaking their governance if THEY want it badly. Injecting our beliefs on a society that didn't ask for it is a recipe for disaster.
