him madder than anything else.

A friend of my campaign, who has been a power player in Georgia politics for a long time (served under Johnson, Carter and Clinton) says that Zell Miller is senile.

He claims it's not a theory....he knows it. He's an old acquaintance of Miller (says he used to be a friend, but just can't talk to him anymore) and that his staff was spending the entire day propping him up to vote on bills and crossing their fingers when he spoke on the floor. It was his staff that actually got him to retire, apparently.

But what I saw of Zell Miller made me suspect that he was suffering from dementia of some kind.
