No...it's not what you think...
Yesterday, I posted a blatently anti John Kerry diatribe concerning his alleged ownership of Wal Mart stock. Needless to say, I was not happy to find out he owned stock in a company which I loathe. I am a union member and I absolutely deplore Wal Mart's corporate policy toward it's workers, unions, and it's business practices.
In any event...a few here were quite upset about my opinion. They correctly pointed out that it was Kerry's wife who actually "owned" the stock. Without engaging in a debate about community property, and putting assets in a spouses name, in the interest of fairness, I would like to offer an apology to the Kerry supporters here. I should have not been so quick on the trigger. I wasn't being fair. John Kerry doesn't "own" the stock, his wife does. Kerry does, however, own stock in my employer, which I appreciate. :-)
In another post I asked how many houses Kerry owned. Of course this was immediately taken as some type of negative post about Kerry. It wasn't. I was remiss in not initially stating my reason for the question. Earlier yesterday, I had been engaged in a conversation with a co worker about the Dem candidates, and he stated that "Kerry owned somthing like 10 houses..." I told him I doubted that, but would check it out. Stupid me, I figured that the easiest way to get the info was to ask here. Frankly I couldn't care less how many houses Kerry owns. I own more than one myself. It's not a big deal. I work with a lot of conservative, republican people who love to gig me because they know I'm a Democrat, and I won't take any shit from them.
I have watched the Dean bashing that goes on here on a regular basis. It has gone on for months. There are a number of posts here today. As a Dean supporter it pisses me off. There are a couple of Kerry people that are notorius for their attacks on Dean. Folks, if you are going to attack the candidate I support, then you have to expect responses.
In this case I was not being fair. Again, to the Kerry supporters that I offended...sorry.
