Chimp commercials during the SuperBowl

Does it seem odd that there would be 3 commercials with chimps in them during the SuperBowl? I could just picture * watching and wondering the same. He has to know about the references to a chimp that people compare him to. Just thought it was hilarious. Coincidence or a statement by an activist?
