East Bound 'n Down: Dean and the DNC
Edited on Mon Feb-07-05 08:46 PM by WLKjr
So I am watching CNN today, and the headline comes across that Howard Dean, M.D. is now the soul contender for the DNC chair. Well soon I suppose we will be East Bound 'n Down as Jerry Reed would sing, doing things they say can't be done. Times are changing for the Democratic Party for the good. We have a long way to go and a short time to get there. 2006 needs to see an unprecedented surge in Dem candidates; everything from dog catcher to the statehouse. We need to run candidates everywhere as many have said before. The DNC will have to provide money to all of these candidates no matter what. Hearing this today has got me wanting to throw my hat into the mix in a few years for congress in Ohio.

So what does everyone else make of this? Dean being the sole candidate now?

3. As soon as it is official we all need to send a check for $10 to the DNC
and ask Dr. Dean to support: The following petition,
1 Get Fair Elections
2 Re institute The Fairness Doctrine
3 Re Capture the Congress
4 Appoint a special Council to look into the BFEE
5 Impeach the Chimp.

The Fair election petition:
In the interests of fair elections we demand the following standards be instituted immediately for all electronic Ballot boxes and vote counting machines.

All programming instructions shall be written in open source code. That code shall at all times be available for public inspection and pass independent third party certification for accuracy and reliability. After that certification the code and all hardware shall be secured no changes shall be allowed to the code or the hardware after certification.
The vote shall only be counted after a voter verified paper record of the vote has been created and retained.

All vote records and counts shall be transferred by verifiable physical means. Any CD DVD TAPE or other transfer medium shall be labeled with the counts and a date time stamp. All records and counts shall be reviewed and verified for validity and accuracy.

No modems internet connections or telephone connections will be allowed at any stage of the vote/vote counting process.

Hi Rummy! :hi:

(from the DUer previously known as Amerikav60)

Isn't it great about Howard? I got a call from the DNC asking for money and I told the nice lady I would be sending money on Feb. 13 if Dean gets the post, otherwise I would be too disgusted with the Dems.

7. I will be more happy when Dean gets the DNC post.
It will restore whatever faith I lost in the Democratic Party. The thing I worry about is these Vichy Democrats who may try to do something underhanded with Dean like they did in his presidential campaign. Even if the tied turns towards our way, we will still have to deal with the DINOs and keep in mind they have the money!

9. First we get fair open elections
Then we elect real Democrats.
Then we appoint a special prosecutor.
Then we go after the war criminals.
Remember there are more of us than them.
