A sobering question from an early Ossie Davis speech.....
Democracy Now (on Free Speech TV) ran clips from several Ossie Davis speeches. I`ll miss listening to his inspiring orations.

In one speech, Mr. Davis talked about how he felt after we dropped the atomic bomb. He wondered whether our technology or our humanity would lead us. The question`s simplicity stopped me cold.

Technology or humanity? Should we ask Rumsfeld as he salivates his way toward using new "burrowing" nuclear weapons? It gives me chills....designer horror, courtesy of the U.S.of A.

3. Ossie Davis was a great American
He was blacklisted during the McCarthy era, but the shame belongs to McCarthyism.

Let's hope Bushism has a similar fate.
