I think if they were still alive, America would be a more liberal and tolerant society, and neo-conservatives would be rare.

although jfk and rfk had their place in the whole matter, i think it was mlk that really pushed change.

10. The right, who killed them, didn't know yet

They killed these men but they didn't assassinate their characters. They made them martyrs for OUR cause and permanent annoyances for themselves. They haven't made the same mistake in a long time. I mourn these men's deaths but their deaths were not in vain. The right's tactics now are different.

If Karl Rove were in charge of destroying the Kennedys, he would have let them live but spun them into something less than heroes. Dr. King would have been easy--he was a black man. A special investigation here, a raised eyebrow there, and the white public would see him the same way they see Snoop Dogg or 50 Cent.
