Another day in the llife of a depressed jobless political activist
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 06:15 PM by democraticrevolution
Well today I got the news that the last campaign I worked for the longest election in the state of New York was finally decided after a drawn out GOP legal battle and we lost....

Yes, we lost by 20 votes it sucks I know. But he was a 9 term incumbent. It's safe to say he's outta there sooner or later. The once mighty Nick Spano is done. In 2006 if Stewart-Cousins runs again I hope Spano seeks re election just so she can stamp out his political career......

Spano is one of NY's worst. He's part of the corrupt NY legislature rated the worst in the country by the Brennan Center in NYU. Guess who controls NY, Republicans! I feel sorry for my district we have to wait until 2006 to get at him again. That means more kids in Yonkers, NY won't get the funding for their schools. That mean's that more layoffs will happen for the teachers. That means more poor people and more of a squeeze on the middle class, that means NY property taxes go through the roof because Patkai and his cabal of Bruno and Spano are going to continue to push Medicaid and Medicare funding onto local municipalities like Westchester County. Don't even talk about their budget!

The Republicans suck at creating budgets nationally and locally. In NY State i'm truly disgusted that I have to share the same air with them. Abraham Lincoln would be so depressed if he saw what happened to his party. I mean sure we Democrats need to fix alot with our party too, but people like Pataki, Bruno and Spano are not for the people they are for themselves. Whether they are conservative, neoconservative or fake conservatives like Bush or just radicals they are terrible people. I hate the fact that some people in my family are Republican. Damn that party to the abyss....I now see you can't comprimise with these people.

They only "deal out pork" to special intersts that keep them in power. I'm going after them, no holds barred. I need a job yes, but i'm going to run for office in 2006 because I'm sick and tired of this......

I'm a jobless political activist who is going to run for the NY Assembly because I am tired and angry I am not going to take it anymore.

I'm tired of not being able to afford healthcare for myself.I am tired of not being able to pay for college basically stopped from pursing any academic future until I pay off my school and some loans. Education should be affordable to everyone. I am tired of not having access to a career. I don't want some "just, over, broke" JOB were I count other people's money or sell them something.

I am tired and I'm not going to take it anymore!!! I represent the people on the outside just like me.We all feel that way!! In 2006 i'm bringing them all with me to Albany!!! That capital better be ready for me because I may be 25 but I'm not backing down to anyone. You are going to listen to what the people have to say!

You know, writing is really good therapy...
