OUR Nation's Capital: nazis demand release of Holocaust-denier zundel !

Their demands were made outside the Canadian Embassy in Washington DC (and other places across America). They thought this would go 'under the radar', but thanks to some great work by American Patriots, a anti-nazi counter-demonstration was held.



The nine neo-nazis represented, among other groups, the National Alliance, and david duke’s organization EURO. Local Virginia nazi, ron doggett, who used to host a public access television program titled 'Race and Reality', helped coordinate this outing with others planned on Saturday with others at consulates across the country.


The racists said they were there to defend Holocaust-denier ernst zündel’s right to free speech, something they say are denied neo-nazis in Canada and Germany, which is where Canada will deport zündel to. One of them felt it important to shout out to the counter-demonstrators, "Freedom of speech, just watch what you say!"

Zundel's crime is Holocaust denial. While that is abhorrent, he was excercising his right to free speech. I don't agree with Zundel's message, but I wouldn't want anyone imprisoned for expressing their views.

My earlier post was intended to encourage people to look further into Zundel. Being a "Holocaust Denier" isn't a crime, as we both pointed out. Being an active hate-monger and someone of questionable immigration status both qualify for criminal investigation.

Germany is even more strict on Hate Crimes than Canada. Good on them. They have learned from their past.

I was thinking of citizenship. If he were to enter Canada from the USA as a citizen of another country, seeking residency in Canada, he would be returned to the USA, unless he arrived by plane. If he had been out of Canada for longer than 6 months he may have lost his permanent residency. Not sure on this but, one can not maintain permanent residency forever, while out of the country.
