Don't know if this is confirmed, but I get an email newsletter from a the Unknown Country/Whitley Strieber website, alternative news/paranormal and the like, and recieved this startling news:
We have received a sufficient number of suggestions of military movements in southern Russia and among US forces in the mideast to report on them as possible signs of impending conflict involving Iran.
The Russian military movements could be meant as a warning to the US to stay away from Iran, or simply as a way of emphasizing that Russia will not tolerate any US military manuevers that cross the Iranian border to the north.
It is highly unlikely that there would be any direct conflict between Russia and the US over Iran, but Russia may be attempting to discourage the US from attacking Iran.
Sources have told Unknowncountry that a substantial number of US aircraft have recently left Iraq and moved to Kuwait, and that at least 15,000 US troops have also been pulled out of Iraq, destined for an unknown location.
US Secretary of State Condaleeza Rice has specifically said during her European tour that the use of force to destroy Iran's enriched uranium program has not been ruled out.
