I would never support Sharpton, but...
He is the king of hard-hitting one-liners and clever jokes. I love watching him debate.

3. ....
That's the problem. I know that a black liberal could never win the presidency, so I wouldn't bother supporting him in the end, but aside from that, his anti-Semitic history is sickening at times.

2. Why wouldn't you vote for him?
Edited on Tue Sep-09-03 08:39 PM by Clete
What if he is the nominee? Would you vote for him then. Imagine the press conferences he would give. I mean whoever the WH press secretary is wouldn't have to be sheltering him from Helen Thomas.:-)

5. bad history?
bad history?? put sharpton's history up against shrub's anyday and we've got it licked. i'm really leaning 70-80% towards voting for him in the primary. he's consistently brilliant, and hits on everything i need to hear with a passion the way i like to hear it. god a debate between him and shrub would be priceless - everything would be out there and the pukes would have nowhere to hide. all i can say is sharpton - why the hell not? look waht professional politician types have gotten us...

4. That man can take everything we have screamed about at DU
for a month and put it into a sentence that brings you to your feet. He has no chance of winning BUT why the hell don't the rest of them hire him to write their speeches. I tell you, it's Al-type rhetoric we need in '04---positions and policies and arguments just bore the crap out of Americans.
