I strongly suggest you turn on CSPAN and watch the procedural wrangling over HR418 (immigration) being managed by Alcee Hastings (D-FL).
The rethugs are trying to slip in an 18 page amendment which has severe implications on judicial review of laws and allows Sec Homeland Insecurity to suspend law in times of self declared emergency.
I am also impressed by Rep Ron Paul (R-Texas) who rose to object to the bill using an argument used by gun owners: they object to registerering guns, why should humans, through RFID technology imbedded in passports and drivers licenses (and subcutaneously - see my prior post)?
