The Plame Affair...

Has anybody heard anything about the "investigation?" It seems to be sliding right down the memory hole.

Also, if my feeble mind recalls correctly, there was some sort of commission headed by John McCain, that was supposed to issue a report on why there was no WMD and why we went to Iraq. Did it get filed ?

Maybe I missed these reports and would appreciate some help catching up.

It has been delayed by 2 reporters who were served supoenas and did not want to appear, that portion is currently in appeals court.

about him being a straight shooter and all, but I can't help but wonder why this thing is taking so long and why isn't Novaks in jail.

It's taking so long because other journalists are shielding corruption under the principle that the same methods they are using to shield corruption protect the methods the media uses to uncover corruption, and therefore, have to be preserved even though in this specific case, they are aiding and abetting criminality.

Last I heard, shortly after the sElection, there was an announcement of an investigation into the career prosecutor (Fitzgerald?) who was handling the case, on an unrelated matter. Undoubtedly an attempt to muddy the waters.

And you know that "Jeff Gannon" apparently had access to confidential information, and knew Plame was covert before Novak outed her.
