This was discovered by an alert reader on Atrios' site. He posted a link that leads to Google's new mapping service and someone jokingly queried "satan near San Dimas, CA" and got some very interesting hits. The first one to show up on the list is David Dreier's congressional office.

is why is he running it out of his CONGRESSIONAL OFFICE???

What funds are needed to run it and are those funds being used his own personal funds or TAXPAYER FUNDS?

Wow, get AFTER it bloggers.

I'm really excited about all this. There are far more left leaning blogs out there than right leaning ones and we are apparently better at doing investigative work.

Damn, let's blow the whole termite nest open. Let's get so many nasty stories blown wide open that the general public has to admit, after saturation of it for so long, that the right is just INFESTED with corruption and hypocrisy. Oh great, just what the internet needs another semi-conservative weblog. Well I've had this idea for many years now and I guess with the coming election cycle I have gotten motivated enough to actually put this site into play. Being a massive political junky I figured it was high time to put my stamp on the net with my sometimes insightful, usually witty, yet downright insane ramblings regarding just about everything. I won’t be holding back any punches and all targets are fair game.

As for me personally, I am just your all-American former US Navy Corpsman on the left coast in beautiful San Clemente, California. I work as the IT director for a boutique law firm in Newport Beach, and will be starting law school this coming fall. My ultimate goal in life is to do nothing (ala Office Space), but I'd settle for yelling at Ann Coulter or Michael Moore on TV as a "pundit". Feel free to contact me with your opinions. The site will be in constant development because I really am horrible at web site design and even worse when it comes to spelling (public schools, cut me some slack).

If that representative is funding this website, or running it, he is lying about himself in the "about" section. Which is pretty easy to believe.

The OP is mistaken. On this page (http://www.thegreatsatan.com/archives/000165.html) the blogger lists Dreier's office address and phone number. Google thinks the contact info is relevant to the site so Google's new maps feature returns thegreatsatan.com as being "near" San Dimas, CA. The site is in no way being run out of Dreier's office.
