and on an unrelated note, I just remembered a question that's been bugging me

I remember a rule that people hsve to be dead for so long (7 years, i think- except president's) before appearing on a stamp

so how did the 9-11 firefighters w/ the flag get one? did the postal service make an exception for special circumstances or was there a loophole or something?

12. i thought the 7 years referred to placement of a memorial

didn't know it applied to stamps also. as for the 9/11 stamp, i would imagine the reason was that it memorialized an event and not a specific person or persons. but that's only a guess.
