The 3 most recent TIME Magazine covers
Do these disgust you as much as they disgust me?

Q: How soon can we get out?
A: With 14 permanent military bases... NEVER!

"Do the godless Democrats need more religion?"

"Evil man.. bad evil country"

"Like the war in Iraq? You'll LOVE a war with Iran!!"

- And some people consider TIME a "liberal rag".

1. Havent you noticed...
that everytime TIME has a question for the title of the article the question remains unanswered even when you're done reading it?

3. Maybe I'm just odd but they don't really bother me
Okay, so the evangelical one kind of annoyed me, mostly b/c there was real news to discuss at the time. I don't have an issue with a story on evangelicals for its own sake. They are a big part of American culture and it's fine to cover it - I just thought they should have had real news that week.

As for the AQ Khan network one - I think if anything that hurts Bush - he claimed the AQ Khan network was under control during the presidential campaign.

5. I'm mixed
The first one I thought (from the cover alone) to be antiwar. The second is about a fluff topic that has no place on the front of Time IMO but I'm not outraged. Khan is a real problem it would seem, however, I found it strange that Time released a story about the threat Iran posses as Condi and crew are on their next war drive. Seems a bit like yellow journalism to me. Still, I think time is a fairly balanced source.

6. my complaint with the first one..
is the assumption that we will ever leave Iraq. It's never gonna happen, although there might be a massive troop withdrawal.

The second cover feeds the meme that "moral values" won this election.

I agree on the third cover..

They seem fairly balanced at first glance, but their bias is very subtle.

9. I decided long ago not to renew my subscription to Time
I've received Time for around the last 13 years. No more. They are a propaganda service for the government as far as I'm concerned.
