My Theory: Jeff Gannon + Matt Drudge = Lovers
It all makes sense.....

1. Both are shotty journalist with no former training but through "connections" with Republican upper office they can thoroughly enhance their career.

2. Both gay.

3. Drudge refuses to post any Gannon stories.

4. Some drudge news reports have been pretty 'liberal' lately, or have no noticeable political leanings.

5. Both obviously are sticklers to Republican talking points.

4. I actually went to Drudge today
gawd help me, to look for Gannon stories and I was surprised to see that he had none. I thought that it was such a Drudge story he'd have to have it even if he loves Guckert. But nada. How disappointing it is.

It's good to know that the conservative media props up conservatives while the "liberal media" attacks liberals.

9. Drudge has a thing about raw eggs in the shower
...according to Brock. He showed up to interview Brock with roses and aftershave, and attempted "moves" which were rebuffed by Brock.

If I had to guess, I'd say Drudge is probably a happy customer, not a special friend.

10. I think Mr. Guckert can see the sharks circling
...he sees his own blood in the water, and upon closer inspection of the sharks, he realizes that not all of them are "lib-rul media" sharks, a lot of them are from the conservative end of the spectrum, and they want to hang the Plame business on HIM, and HIM alone.

Bet Novak is sleeping better, seeing as there's a new fall guy in town!

11. Now that's an interesting scenario to consider.
I wonder if Jeff Gannon/Guckert is smart enough to connect the dots?

12. ABSO-friken-LOUTLY
That's why, after "withdrawing" from public life with his poorly written, blatantly self-serving statement on the web (deconstructed by some clever person on this board in another thread; rather well done, that, too!), he IMMEDIATELY starts giving interviews, talking to reporters, going on Wolf Blitzer...Jeez, he's like friken CHER, with her farewell tours that last twenty years!!! Of course, Cher can sing!

He KNOWS, that if he doesn't get himself back out there and fight back, the GOP sharks will eat him and leave not a toenail behind. He'll be like the new CLINTON, a handy repository for everything that is wrong with the GOP--hell, blame Gannon, nee Guckert for EVERYTHING, including WATERGATE!

He has to find ways to communicate that if he goes down, he's taking people with him. Of course, the danger with continued exposure is that anyone who is a news idiot, or who is simply uncurious, and may not be aware of this scandal, WILL be aware of it the longer he puts himself on display. It's a tough balancing act!
