Maybe nothing will happen to whoever else is involved but think about this; something has already happened to Guckert, something bad enough that he's decided to drop out of public life because of it. Nobody likes having their skeletons dragged out of the closet and paraded before an international audience. The man is a laughingstock now. If nothing else, this whole incident may make it more difficult for them to find another willing dupe! If you can't get to the generals, maybe you can hamper them by harassing the troops. And who knows, may a few people more important than JD Guckert have some skeletons that are now causing them to lose some sleep. Not that I'm suggesting that we launch some kind of all out investigative effort against the personal lives of every annoying wingnut. (Part of me is a little disturbed by the implications of what's been done to this guy. We're living in a fishbowl and this type of personal exposure can be used by either side.) But people should know that if they engage in questionable public activities they may draw unwanted attention to themselves.
