Medicare drug cost is now $700 billion and no one wants this card
It started out at a cost of $400 billion. Now they are saying $700 billion over the next decade.

However, this still does not change the fact that very few have signed up for one of these cards being the benefits are not that great and the card itself costs money. Nothing is being given away here!

If no one has taken the bait on these Medicare drug cards then how can the cost of this plan have suddenly almost doubled to $700 billion I ask? I suspect these funds are being earmarked for other "things" so to speak; certainly not drug coverage for those on Medicare!!

It simply does not add up. The only money I've seen being spent related to the Medicare drug plan/card is mail being sent to sell these cards which no one seems to want!!

1. The rules are also very complicated
There are very complex rules one must navigate their way through to reap just a small savings. Many over 65 Americans are still not internet savvy and don't wish to spend hours surfing and clicking around the web to learn how they might save 10 to 20 bucks a months on their drugs.

3. well ...
For one, not all on Medicare are over age 65. Others are on it too, like the disabled for example.

Furthermore, while the card thing is confusing, not many have opted to even want one is my point. If no one is buying into this scam, then how come the price has suddenly doubled.

People that are not computer savvy are often phone savvy. I know of others that call several pharmacies and get prices this way.

Costco has often better prices on drugs than does the local pharmacy I have found. If you just pay out of pocket. It can be cheaper than the "co-payment" that any insurance might pay.

I still do not comprehend on any level why the cost has suddenly doubled.
