Faux News' Brit Hume covers (up?) "Jeff Gannon" scandal
The verrrry interesting scandal surrounding "Jeff Gannon"/James Guckert was featured on Brit Hume's "flagship news show" Special Report last night, 2/10. However, it was relegated to the "all-star" panel discussion in the final ten minutes of the hour, with pundits Jeff Birnbaum, Bill Sammon, and Charles Krauthammer fielding rehearsed questions from Brit.

Brit at first characterizes the scandal surrounding the phony journalist operating under an alias in the White House briefing room, fielding softball and/or leading (and we can assume rehearsed) questions at Scott McClellan, as a "controversey" and a "dust up". He says with mock indignation that Senator Louise Slaughter of NY has called for a criminal investigation.

Comment: I despise these faux "interviews" with panelists where the anchor asks questions as though he has never heard of the details. It's disengenous and obvious it's staged.

...

BS: And they found two things on him that forced him to resign. First, that he wasn't using his real name, and second, that he had registered names of websites that appeared to be sexually explicit.
BH: Did the websites actually exist?
BS: He worked for a software company before DC, and had registered them for a client... The websites were never launched, there was no content put on them...
BH: So he wasn't a pornographer?

I watched this segment yesterday and News Hounds paint the picture well. If you thought watching Howie negotiate through this story on CNN, it was nothing compared to Brit and his "all star" crew.

3. Did You Think Faux Do Any Different?
Just for giggles last night, I scanned around on O'Reilly & Hannity...until my dinner started to come back up. Was the topic "Gannon" and the abuse of the media by this regime? Of course not, it was that evil, evil Ward Churchill...poisoning college kids with free speech.

Yep, they had the choice to spotlight how this regime has abused free speech and does all it can to shout down all dissent and fabricate news and issues designed to divide and destroy. Instead, they ignore the real crime/sin and finds the strawman...another new boogie man for those bullies to beat up on...of course with no one to defend Prof. Churchill.

But that's what we've come to expect from Faux. It's the official press organization of the RNC and puts its partisan hat on before it dares to venture into real news reporting. That's fine...at least they've been exposed. CNNservative is another story. They're just as complicit as Faux in trying to either ignore or downplay this scandal, but do so under the disguise as "the most trusted network". It's time we start making them live up to that name!

4. I appreciate you keeping an eye on the B*sh propaganda channel
But personally, I can't stomach it. Every time I watch it, my family says quiet down because I end up yelling at them. But thanks for being on watch.

6. Same thing with the Ohio elections ...

Faux did the same thing with the Ohio elections. Their motto is "We Report, You Decide". But it's VERY CLEAR that they decide what you should think BEFORE HAND and than report in a way favorable to their viewpoint and dissmissive to downright HOSTILE to any other viewpoint.

When your "LIBERAL" commentator is a center conservative (Jaun Williams) you know you have real problems. There is NO WAY Faux would ever put someone like Michael Kinsey in the same room with Brit Hume. Kinsey would tear him a new asshole.
