Karl Rove Linked to Gannon Story?

So just how close is Karl Rove to this story? Well, here's a little tidbit. In an article titled "Freewheeling 'bloggers' are rewriting rules of journalism" (USA Today, December 30, 2003), Kathy Kiely writes:

In the past year:

* GOPUSA.com, a Web site run by Bobby Eberle, a Houston engineer with no previous journalism experience, scored an interview with President Bush's top political adviser, Karl Rove.

Mr. Eberle is the CEO of GOPUSA.com and Talon News, Jeff Gannon's employer. He regularly writes on GOPUSA.com under the byline:

So GOPUSA.com gets access to Rove. Interesting. Gannon/Talon also get access to CIA documents that expose undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame. Very Interesting. Is there a link? Only the Justice Department investigation knows. Wonder what's holding up that prosecution?

the list of msm's lack of curiosity about this admins misadventures is every bit as damning as the admin itself.

there is some serious heavy lifting to be done if things are ever going to change.

2. I hope this story has got legs

This is just incredible. Sympathetic faux journalists are given passes to be in the White House briefings under the guise of working for an established media entity that in reality works out of someone's bedroom. And speaking of bedrooms, it wouldn't surprise me if Geckert had given m4m services to Rove in the past!

If Fitzgerald gets involved, as Conyers has requested, it could get very interesting.

3. The trail leads to Eberle

Who hails from Texas the same as Karl Rove and W.Bush.

Now then, Eberle starts the Talon News, which is an on line news service, and gets a Talon News reporter access to the White House six days after the start up of the Talon News. BTW, the White House correspondent for Talon has no journalism education or experience and has changed his name.

Then another Eberle owned news website gets documents naming a C.I.A. agent who contradicted a statement by the President. The statement that the C.I.A. agent challenged was one of the reasons used by the President as pretext to war. Who ever named Plume as a C.I.A. agent is guilty of a Federal crime.

Seems to me that someone should start investigating the White House ties to Eberle. Like Watergate, it will be a couple of outsiders who expose the crimes of this administration, not members in good standing of the main stream media.

4. Valerie Plame did not challenge the President - it was her husband

Joseph Wilson. When Wilson wrote an op-ed for the NYT, stating that Bush's 16 word claim about Iraq seeking uranium from Niger, was false, that's when his wife was "outed" as a CIA agent.

But I think you're right that Eberle is the key that connects Gannongate to Rove & Bush.

Just because they obtained an interview of Rove.
