CNN - Story on Who Is a Real Journalist -- Gannon Shown ?ing Bush
Referred to as shill. Why asked into briefing? Gannon appears on CNN. This guy is out of control. "The public has a hard time discerning who to trust with the news" (approx) quote from head of WH Press Association. Mentions daily press passes as opposed to real ones. Other's (like Gannon) remain. Tom Foreman, CNN

OK, the story is getting legs.

Next CNN story, baby thrown out of car, "umbilical cord and all" (I'm not kidding!

2. Saw a story on this on Headline News this morning with no sound
when they showed him the caption read "Jeff Gannon", with the double quotes. All other names in the piece didn't have any.

Thought it was pretty funny.

4. I haven't been watching the news
But do they seem to be avoiding the fact that Jeff Gannon is not even his real name?

9. Good question ...
I know the print media is, but also at this point, since Jeff Gannon is the name he used, they're probably gonna keep using it.

10. If the average american
sees that a guy using a fake name working for a fake news company (really just the texas gop made it up "talon news") got white house press credentials without waiting in line.

something tells me that it won't be framed that way. More like

Those liberal bloggers are picking on this guy because he leans to the right.

3. "The public has a hard time discerning who to trust with the news."
If the WH Corporate Press Whores acted like real journalists, the public would be having no problem discerning whom to trust. (Cripes, this spokesmoran doesn't even know how to use "whom" and "who" properly.)

5. My ? is: why wasn't Gannon outed by the WH press corps?
They knew he was a ringer but he sat there and made them look silly for almost two years? If they're that stupid, the CM (corporate media) in the WH, then they should be fired. If they're not stupid, how the hell could they let this go on?

11. Been Posting That Question Myself
I'm watching the Snotty show right now on C-SPAN and there's John King...CNNservative White House Shill...and in some of the "Gannon" videos, I saw Gregory from NBC and Compton from ABC. This dude's been doing this crap for two years and none of them ever wondered about him...and now remain very silent.

A couple weeks ago, I saw the Washington Post WH correspondent. I had to take a double-take...making sure he wasn't writing for the Moonie Times. He gushed about how exciting things are in "this White House" and his "exculsives" with Bunnypants and Crashcart. He might as well have been writing press releases.

The sad thing is these vain-glorious media-types will do anything, everything to pass the buck here...since assuming they've been had opens a door that will destroy what remains of their fleeting credibility.

This is like letting an intern operate at Mayo Clinic. Yes, where's the self-regulation here? Where's a prominent "journalist" who will stand up to this latest attack on their very profession. I'm sure we'll find out whose who on this story as it transpires.

12. I like your thinking.
"Where's a prominent "journalist" who will stand up to this latest attack on their very profession?"

I'm afraid there isn't one. Rather could have done it but he was "TombStoned" and lacks the ability. Moyers retired a couple of months too soon. He'll try but he's identified as "partisan." They're all a bunch of whores. Chronkite may come back and say something. If he's adamant enough and goes on a campaign, that would do the country a lot of good. If I missed any candidates for integrity, let me know.

7. The media have earned our distrust
From pumping up fake "crises" to ignoring reports of real incompetence and corruption, the media have been almost totally complicit in the crimes of the Bush administration.

Feeling like people don't trust you now, CNN? Well boo hoo hoo. That's the path you set out on, and avidly pursued for months in a vain attempt to out-Fox Faux. Now you enjoy the same level of trust any quisling deserves: None from the people who formerly looked to you for integrity, and none from the people who never trusted you at all.

Congratulations CNN. If a whole host of people hadn't been warning you off this path for months, and if the results weren't plain before your weaselly little visages, I'd almost say you deserve to be pitied. Instead, you're just pitiful.
