...we never did anything like that. So, it was quite easy to see the humor in it. Like some New Yorker cartoon, it was a piece of hyperbole to me. I guess it's one benefit from my being around for a very long time.

13. Funny you should say that

I realized it watching Lamb on c-span today.
He asked callers what they thought the difference in the way Democrats and Republicans understand values.
All the Republicans thought it was like going to church things like that.
I think Democrats assume each other are going to act morally and don't have to work so hard at appearing moral.
Whereas Republicans have to keep reminding everybody and them selves how they are, because it is uncomfortable and foriegn to them.
I think that is why they cling to there churchs so much, There confidence in there beliefs is weak and they need support. I on the other hand know Being Liberal is just and true and I fear not that path even if I have to walk it alone.
