1. when the public and press know little about him personally ...

it's easy to paint the story per the script provided ... seems to me Mr. Hadley controlled the interview from the start; and, Ignatius blessed it, by saying "in this case,it's clearly true" ... Ignatius doesn't delve deep enough into 'the character' ... only a media creation PR glimpse ...

wonder how much stock Mr. Hadley owns in Lockheed Martin?

"it's clearly true" ... it is? I don't understand the Clark Kent comparison. Mild-mannered? perhaps ... but, so what? what about his background, associations, beliefs and politics?

Hadley starts off the interview by stressing that Bush's policy is, above all, a product of the president's own convictions, principles and life experience. That may sound self-effacing from a national security adviser, but in this case it's clearly true."

he's part of the pack ... although in the past more in the shadows or in the shadow of someone else, i.e., Cheney or Scowcroft ... federal gov't career goes back to Nixon's day ... he was a lawyer for Lockheed Martin ... Ignatius doesn't mention anything about that or those years ...

... Lynne Cheney served on the Board of Directors at Lockheed Martin ...

One background source tells of insurance fraud in Iowa ...

At the beginning of the 1980s, Mr. Steven Hadley set up an insurance fraud of close to 1.1 million dollars. He was discovered, found guilty by a court in Iowa, and forced to reimburse the money. To erase any trace to his crime, he changed his name to Stephen John Hadley.

He "was as a board member of ANSER Analytic Services" which was a birthplace of "Homeland Security" before it was morphed onto the White House website. How did they know?

Did Ignatius mention Mr. Hadley's role in the lying?

Stephen Hadley, Condoleezza Rice's right-hand man in the Bush administration's National Security Council, served as the fall guy when allegations arose regarding the national security adviser's mishandling of information about Iraq 's purported effort to buy uranium from Niger.

the bottomline is ... he's been promoted to the highest levels of this White House ... and, is involved with the worst president in history; and, likely, the most corrupt administration ever ...
