Is Secretary Treasury John Snow Incompetent?
Is Treasury Secretary John Snow Incompetent or a Bu$h man? I think I know the answer, but thought I'd toss it out here to see where Du goes with it. And are "we" getting a "snow-job," ya think?

With regards to the debate over Social Security, it's clear as I watch C-SPAN now, and over the last several days parties are split hard. Watching the hearings on C-SPAN about the Prez's GY 2006 Budget, by the House Ways & Means Committee it appears that Mr. Snow has something wrong with him, respectfully. The Repuks answer obviously pre-scripted questions, providing Snow's answers repeatedly feeding him all responses. Whereas the Democrats question him with facts. One Democrat went so far as to mention Snow's continual repeat of the word used be the admin, "transparent." Snow was appointed Secretary of Treasury (one-time big guy at CSX) by B$us Jan 30, 2003 (http://www.whitehouse.gov/government/snow-bio.html).

Why do "all" Repuks want to dismantle Social Security rather than enhance it? Just about everyone around this country systematically wants to keep Social Security and knows it's fixable, and not in a crisis. The way I see it, Repuks are for the rich and do not care about any the 99 percent of Americans not wealthy.

Do republican voters understand this?

The Washington Post says "Snow Forecast All Wrong."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A51445-2004Dec9.html

From The Left Coaster: Treasury Secretary John Snow made some claims that there were no changes in Bu$h (mis)Administration support for a strong dollar, but ...
http://www.theleftcoaster.com/archives/003298.html

The Smirking Chimp: http://www.smirkingchimp.com/ talks about Snow ducking questions, repeatedly...

RIGHT NOW on C-SPAN2: Snow can't answer 1 simple question from Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio right now and she's hitting him with hard-nosed "facts," like we'd be forced into annuities (he can't answer... huh, I don't know, well...), and she's telling him he's wrong. Her first question was "If we rolled-back tax cuts for people earning over 1 million dollars, wouldn't this fix the Social Security problems?" He doesn't know. And he's not responding to her questions with "yes" or "no," rather he's saying "Well, maybe we didn't supply all the information we should have." Dah... And he answers with "I think," and Rep. Tubbs Jones just told Snow she hoped the whole world is watching to hear him evade her questions!

2. Here are my answers...
Is Treasury Secretary John Snow Incompetent or a Bu$h man?

To be a Bu$h man, you'd have to be incompetent in some respect.

Why do "all" Repuks want to dismantle Social Security rather than enhance it?

I assume you are referring to those in office or some position of power. They want to dismantle it because it would force even more of the population into poverty, a position within which it is far easier to oppress.

Do republican voters understand this?

Clearly not. I haven't yet decided if it's a matter of innate stupidity, deliberate ignorance or brainwashing.

As for Rep. Tubbs-Jones, she continues to demonstrate what a patriot and friend of the American people she truly is. I am so grateful we have people like her in congress. Snow may not be an idiot, but he's incredibly stupid. Does that make sense?

7. Agreed! 100 Percent!
Rep. Tubbs-Jones is certainly one of the major patriotic players, working so very hard for "all" of our rights. I'm in agreement with you - we couldn't me more fortunate to have her up there fighting for us like she has and still does.

She walked out of the meeting, but not before telling some of the Repuks off!

And like you, I know you're right: "innate stupidity, deliberate ignorance, and brainwashing."

Sad, very sad days here in America. They can keep calling our soils the "Homeland," but to me she's still "America."

3. Incompetent _OR_ a 'Bush man'?
I think you're confused; those are the same thing.

Good on Tubbs Jones for putting the heat to this idiot mouthpiece!

And I checked out that web site the other night, with respects to the 9/11 investigations - had me there all night long, enthawed, everso respectfully so.

Someday, maybe someday we'll find the answer. But, not under this secret adm.

"NO!" I'd like to respond by saying "If I see one, you'll be the first I'd contact," but regrettable we both know that will never, ever happen.

8. Incompetent/Bush man is redundant.
Edited on Fri Feb-11-05 05:33 PM by amBushed
If you are a Bush man you are incompetent and dishonest by definition.

Snow is a particularly VILE case. When Clinton was President working to decrease the budget deficit, Snow was a member of the Concord Coalition. He was going around telling everyone how serious the deficits were and how Clinton had the wrong approach and wasn't doing enough, etc. The country was DOOMED because of the deficits and Clinton.

Once the Chimperor was selected, Snow did a complete 180. Now deficits aren't that big a deal. They are "manageable", blah, blah. Too bad not one media whore has the guts to call the bastard on it.

Media Whores! Wondering how they're re-gain any of our confidence, much less ratings and jobs once this evil regime is out of office.

The words "Incompetency" and "Bu$h" are one and the same, with certainty. Thanks for the wonderful response.

10. Social Security remains a socialist program
that has been a success for 70 years, even though the rich tried to torpedo it from the beginning in 1937 by exempting most of their income from social security premiums. It has remained a success even without the support of the rich and for that, they cannot forgive it.

Even with over 20 years of embezzling it to hide tax cuts to the rich, Congress has not been able to destroy it.

Now Asshole thinks he's going to ram its destruction through Congress against the will of the people. Well, that sad thing is that he may just do it.

15. I hope not, Warpy... I sincerely hope not.
Have you ever seen such illicit fear-tactics, scandals (too many to count), lies upon lies and by so many in one party.

And they say we're partisan when the Democratic Party is and always has been historically "for the people, by the people." Look-up what the Republican Party means... basically, one votes and the winning party does whatever they deem fit.

Social Security, within absolutely nothing done to or with it, would lose 20%, and if our country (by 2042) hasn't risen higher economically, especially with so many baby-boomer's money flow, what the heck is the problem... the looting of the surplus is all one is left to presume.

19. In 1964, Lyndon Baynes Assh***
demanded and got the authorization to include the social security income as part of the federal budget in order cover up the Viet Nam war costs. Since that ill-starred decision, the suceeding idiots have assumed ever increasing privelege to mess around with it.

11. My thoughts on these people Bush puts in is this-----
They usually come from some place where they are like rulers. CEO's and they can not learn at this late date how to run any thing from the ground up. Govt. is not a business and does not work that way. It is a service set up to do things for people. You do not learn how to do that type of stuff at Harvard. The MBA i s for a top down business. This is why we seem to have better luck with the men they pull out of the govt. that have worked it. Would any one be up set it the local town hall put in a plane to sell stock and make money for people where you live? Of course you would, as it is set up to serve your needs. It is to be run for us not for a profit on the street.

Agreed, and stated well! It's un freepin-believeable and long past shocking, rather just unbelieveable.

How do they get away with so much. And it's obvious that our Democrat rep's have their handsfull, another obvious ploy by Bushiztc&Co.

21. Notice the eerie similiarites....
Big $$$ CEO's, from CSX, Halliburton, Enron (the list goes on and on), all drinking from Bu$h&Co's cups, till the cup runneth over into their investment schemes.

Then, caps all every level to preserve more of their $$$ corporate investments.

Both Patriot Acts (shameful naming), in place to instill fear on our civil liberties and human rights.

And the last slamming of the barn door would be to take away the 99% of American's last and only security in our society, our Social Security.

It's past acceptable. It's past tolerable. Abusive? I've run out of words to describe it all... sad is the only word I can think of. Super, super sad.

If anyone heads over to http://www.google.com/ you'll see plenty of links to some of the most respected organizations from just as many variant levels all stating the samething... "Social Security is not in a Crisis!"

Their followers are either blind as bats, crave for the end of times or enjoy giving to the rich, while having absolutely nothing for retirement.
