Bush is getting set to "raise taxes" using the Soc Sec Smokescreen"
As I shared weeks ago....this "private account stuff" is a SCAM --- the main goal always was "MORE MONEY". He is using Soc Sec "crisis" for a TAX INCREASE.

The US Budget Deficit, defense spending etc... require more $$$$. bush needs more money.

Read below

Bush warns of harsh choices if Social Security plan not approved

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush warned Saturday that if Congress does not act now to overhaul Social Security, the choices ahead will be harsh and painful. He repeated his call to add private accounts to the system.
As he has in visits to eight states, Bush emphasized in his weekly radio address that the system will soon run short of money, with more going out to pay benefits than is collected in taxes.

"If we do not act now to avert that outcome, the only solutions would be dramatically higher taxes, massive new borrowing or sudden and severe cuts in Social Security benefits or other government programs," he said.

4. After the 4 Trillion it takes to initiate the program..................
what the hell difference will it make?

The entire program is a fraud and unless I'm missing my mark, has NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER of ever passing. There are enough Republicans that can see through this POS and I think they'll stand up to the little dictator this time, or risk losing THEIR cushy jobs in Congress.

7. That slime monger has been at this all his life
He appeals to the very worst, selfish, cheap aspects of human nature.
The very definition of satan is that part of us that moral, ethical people engage in a fight with from birth 'til death and these crapheads are what happens when those vile forces are not resisted, but upheld, nurtured and given vent. It was probably inevitable that, sooner or later, this crisis had to happen, and the measure of mankind lies in how well we surround, emasculate and delete this terrible stain on humanity.

Keep fighting; it's worth it!

12. That is exactly what Dean IS doing.
I am so pleased the "mouths" in politics are finally learning to say words like "liars," "fraud," "criminal," "theft." It's been sooo long coming.
Dean is a breath of fresh air, and many others are realizing that they won't turn to a pillar of salt simply from telling the truth.

9. He's been telling the faithful since the beginning that working people
near the bottom of the earnings scale are not paying enough income tas.

You hear this echoed all the time by dittoheads, who dutifully yowl that the people who make 90% of the income (the top 20%) are paying TOO MUCH TAX.

Never mind that 40% of the FICA premium every working stiff pays has been embezzled and turned into a back door income tax. They never bother to count that one in the overall tax burden. Most poorer folks pay a whole lot more in FICA than they do to the IRS directly.

You can bet that Bush's class will see more tax cuts.

Depression, here we come.
