Who listens to AAR on Sirius?
I want to set up a lobby to make Sirius carry the Drug War News. (www.cultural-baggage.com)

I would also like to try to get them to carry the following:

The Green Scene (www.thegreenscene.com)

Earthwatch (http://ewradio.org)

These are all little short radio clips, like Hightower Radio

More importantly, we could set up a Sirius lobby that we might be able to use to leverage them to actually change things, like get rid of David Horowitz and Bobby Likus and Tony Tantillo and the Wall Street Journal and USA Today and Dave Ramsey and Jim Bragman and especially Wendy Friesen!!!!! (Sirius listeners know what I mean)

(We could also ask them to de-amputate Thom Hartmann's show on Sirius Left.)

1. I do.
And, I feel that every redblooded patriotic progressive should too! (sort of kidding - but I support Sirius! It may be all we have left one day).

I agree with your suggestions.

2. I love AAR on Sirus. They carry the entire network. Check out
http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum/index.php

A MB for Sirius listeners. Check out the AAR forum and ask there where you can start.

Also, check out Sirius LEFT!!! They should carry it also.

3. I just want them to get rid of the nauseating ad
"Some of these songs come from actual dreams that I've had". They play that thing at every break (sometimes twice) and it's probably the most annoying thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm starting to tune out during commercials, sometimes forgetting to tune back in.

10. I'm to the point where I can sense it coming..
and then there's the "Uhhhh.." vocal at the beginning and I scream in pain and reach for the volume as quickly as I can. It's worse than fingernails on a chalk board. That dude can NOT sing worth a damn. Why are they pimping for him so much?

I've emailed Sirius about it several times and they just ignore me. Cross promotion is fine, just not that particular one.

8. They have way too many commercials
but the one that blew my mind was aired this past fall. It was an ad for Sean Hannity's show on Sirius. Now just which AAR listeners also want to tune in to Hannity? :)

5. I do.
In fact the reason I got Sirius instead of XM is because I had read that Clear Channel owns a big chunk of XM radio. I guess that point is moot since Sirius and XM may be merging.

16. Its moot because Clear Channel owns less than....
2% of XM. You have faulty info.

18. But I bet a Clear Channel guy is on XM's Board of Directors...
and that is all that counts. And one of the reasons I chose Sirius.

13. OOH! OOH OOH! OOH!
(Now who gets that reference?)

Anyway, I'm in.

I'd also like AAR or Sirius' leftie stream to carry THIS IS HELL to get the show a deserved wider audience (and Chuck Mertz some necessary green).

15. You are absolutely right about THIS IS HELL
Be cool if they carried Bernie Ward after Malloy too wouldn't it? And Flashpoints after that? Anyhoo..who wants to set up a lobby? I think a progressive group of people telling Sirius what they want would have an impact, since they have no advertisers (except the renegades from LIB that make it past the DJs)

Thanks for all the affection!

17. I have XM---
I wish they carried the whole AAR line-up though. I also heard that Clear Channel was selling part of their holdings in XM. I don't know if that's true or not.
