Just caught a press conference Democratic Party Chairman (ooh that sounds nice) Howard Dean gave after winning the chairmanship. One reporter asked him a question with a "some Democrats say that they are worried about the image you will give to the party" bent to it. Dean responded by saying he "won't respond to blind quotes".

I just know I love this man.

when answering this fool was commanding. Dean's face was serene, but he cast the sort of sharp glance a parent does towards a misbehaving child that has crossed the line, to freeze them in his or her tracks. It even made me feel like guilty kid, and I'm on his side! Too bad no one has video yet; I missed most of it.

He made a wonderful comment about--i'm paraphrasing loosely--reaching out to people of all faiths and beliefs that the democratic party is the party for them, not just reaching out to fundamentalists. Snappity snap!
