The MSM should just stop saying "...a soldier dying to defend his country'
freedom." Or "...died defending his country." None of those soldiers in Iraq have been killed or died "defending this country." This country was not attacked by Iraq. They died defending a lie by the Bush administration and people are too stubborn, ignorant, hateful, or embarrassed to admit it.

2. I propose we start naming gas pumps after soldiers
We can honor an entire squad at a time in a single gas station.

That would put the words "dying for your country" & "freedom" in their proper context.

4. You know what... Let me know when you have it
or where one can get a list that pastes easily into Excel... I can print a shitload of them and casually stick them to the gas pumps when I'm filling up.

This gas pump named in honor of ....
Killed (date) for your "freedom".

11. Got it.
Went to http://icasualties.org/oif/ByState.aspx and was able to easily paste it all into an Excel spreadsheet. All 1454 of them by State & city with name, tank and date of death.

There are enough from my state to keep my busy at the pump for weeks.

I'd upload it somewhere to save people the trouble but where? It's easy to copy though...

Peace :)

Print bumper stickers. Include the soldier's photo, name, birth and death dates, service & rank, and where killed.

In larger letters: "THIS SOLDIER DIED DEFENDING A LIE, not our country".

Paste to gas pumps and gas-guzzling vehicles.

6. What I don't get is why...
so many of the soldiers use 9/11 as a reason for why they're proud of their service in Iraq.

There was one on CNN today saying, "Well after 9/11 I realized that, you know, we're Americans, and this is what we are supposed to do, so I joined the army and was proud to be one of the first soldiers into Iraq."

I don't see the parallel between the two?

But silly me, I forgot that Saddam organized 9/11! D'oh.

A Matter of Conscience
By Sgt. Kevin Benderman
Bruderhof.com

Tuesday 08 February 2005

Sgt. Kevin Benderman (40) is a U.S. Army mechanic with ten years of service under his belt, including a role in the assault on Baghdad. While there, his outfit was ordered to open fire on children who were throwing rocks at unit personnel. Troubled by this and other similar incidents, and facing a second tour of duty in Iraq, Benderman applied for conscientious objector status in December 2004. The U.S. Army has charged him with desertion. He has been called a coward by his commanding officer, and his chaplain has told him that he is ashamed of him. Born in Alabama, Sgt. Benderman currently lives in Hinesville, Georgia, with his wife, Monica, and stepson Ryan.

Having watched and observed life from the standpoint of a soldier for ten years of my life, I always felt there was no higher honor than to serve my country and defend the values that established this country. My family has a history of serving this country dating back to the American Revolution, and I felt that to continue on in that tradition was the honorable thing to do.

I cannot tell anyone else how to live his or her life, but I have determined how I want to live mine.

As I went through the process which led to my decision to refuse deployment to Iraq for the second time, I was torn between thoughts of abandoning the soldiers that I serve with, or following my conscience, which tells me: war is the ultimate in destruction and waste of humanity.

10. That's coz the majority of rightwingnuts are SO STUPID they STILL think
Iraq did 911;

-75% of bush supporters continue to believe, incorrectly, that Iraq was providing substantial support to al Qaeda

-63% believe, incorrectly, that clear evidence of this support has been found.

-60% of bush supporters assume, incorrectly, that this is also the conclusion of most experts

-55% assume, incorrectly, that this was the conclusion of the 9/11 Commission

And the truly sickening part is that the MAJORITY OF BUSH SUPPORTERS say it would be THE WRONG THING TO DO to invade and occupy Iraq IF IRAQ WAS NOT supporting al Qaeda!!!

Asked whether the US should have gone to war with Iraq if US intelligence had concluded that Iraq was not making WMD or providing support to al Qaeda, 58% of Bush supporters said the US should not have, and 61% assume that in this case the President would not have.

http://www.pipa.org/OnlineReports/Pres_Election_04/html/new_10_21_04.html

The MAJORITY OF RIGHTWINGNUTS would OPPOSE bush's invasion of Iraq...IF THEY KNEW THE ACTUAL FACTS! 1458 US troops would still be ALIVE; 10,000 would still be WHOLE; 100,000+ Iraqis would still be ALIVE; IF RIGHTWINGNUTS KNEW THE FACTS!

How FUCKING TRAGIC is that!!!

SO MANY PEOPLE ARE DEAD; SO MANY LIVES ARE RUINED...BECAUSE RIGHTWINGNUTS DIDN'T KNOW and STILL DON'T KNOW THE FACTS.

9. "And another US citizen in uniform died officially to disarm Iraq of its
gathering immediate grave threat of mushroom clouds and aluminum tubes arsenal of WMD that can be launched within 45 minutes according to the lies chanted daily by George W. bush and the entire rightwingnut Cabal although even George W. bush has now admitted Iraq had no WMD since 1991 and which half of America and the vast majority of the rest of the entire world knew since 2002."
