Wow oh just Wow: I had to go totally off on another flight attendant..

I was an "add" yesterday which means i get new crews every leg... so i had 3 different crews yesturday...
the first was ...hmm... unique... the lady in the first class was GREAT she was VERY liberal and we had some great talks :D she just found this place last week she said :)
OK so that was good.. but the lady in the back who i was seating with.. she was reading a "right to life" newspaper (i didn't even know they had those" and she said "oh i think that they are going to overturn Roe vs. Wade" and i said "oh i hope not"
THATS IT.. THATS ALL I SAID....
and then she said
"oh you must be prochoice... just think how you would feel if that baby in your belly right now would be murdered .. how would you feel then?"
OK..
i just LAID INTO HER...
and yall really dont know me.. but it takes ALOT for me to really go off...
and man oh man did it...
it started with "wow.. there is a line that you just don't cross when first meeting someone and you just hurdled over it! how DARE you say something like that to me.. you know NOTHING about me....." i mentioned how i was raped and got preggo and had an abortion because of it and until she walked a mile in my shoes HOW DARE SHE even think about taking that CHOICE away from me.. and it just went downhill from there ;)
but once i was done she didn't say another word ;) lol
i can NOT believe that she had the nerve to say something like that to someone she JUST met???
crazy!
after that the other 2 flights had GREAT flight attendants to they made up for that one lady :)

arrested for not taking shit on an airplane. It was in the news. She thought the whole incident was hilarious and ridiculous. Wow. I think I'd report her. Play the 9/11 card while you're at it by telling her supervisors that you were nervous enough about flying without the flight attendant talking about your baby being murdered.

Come to think of it, you should have just started screaming "MURDER MY BABY? WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT MURDERING MY BABY? ARE YOU A TERRORIST?" Of course, then the flight would have been delayed as the flight attendant was escorted off by Homeland Security, but it might have been worth it.

Seriously though, report her.

I worked with, there were those few who read their bibles and preached way too much. I dreaded getting on a jumpe seat with one of those - especially the senior mamas. And our airline (Alaska) had it fair share.

You did great! I also like the approach, don't like abortion, don't have one. Or ask them if they have ever used birth control or if they only practice sex like these RTL groups preach. Most of the women I see out protesting are wearing those prairie skirts - I'm guessing they're part of a church that does not allow them to wear pants.

Sorry you had to deal with that!

I haven't had such a close encounter, yet, but I'll remember your experience should it ever happen. The closest I got was coming out of the Bridget II movie and there were some chatty couples walking ahead of us and they seemed as pleased about the movie as we were. My daughter saw the movie with us and she really liked how brave Bridget was and liked her attitude and I figured she was talking about the moment when Bridget was talking down the pinhead Tory. So I told her that most of England was like Bridget which is socialist and, "You'll really like England because they don't have these right-wing Christian nutcases that we have in America." Suddenly the chatty couples go silent. Oopsy!
