Fiscal crisis, fiscal crisis, fiscal crisis, fiscal crisis.
Why don't Dems just keep using that phrase? After all, unlike "SS crisis," this one is more accurate. Repubs use phrases all the time and beat everyone over the head with them until everyone believes them, such as, "tax-and-spend liberals," and what they say isn't even true! Why can't we do the same, especially since, unlike them, we don't have to lie. Bush really *has* given us a fiscal crisis, adding nearly $2 trillion to the debt in four years.

Here are a few things I'd like to hear out of the Dems.

"The reason SS has problems is because of the fiscal crisis Bush has given us."

"Bush has created a fiscal crisis that severely threatens the future of our nation."

"Our current fiscal crisis is going to make it impossible to provide enough money in our future for defense, education, SS and medicare."

"The fiscal crisis Bush has given us is causing us to make incredibly tough choices regarding our budget."

"SS wasn't in crisis until Bush gave us this fiscal crisis. Clinton's plan was to pay down the national debt, which would free up all the money that the treasury owes the SS trust fund. Now that can't happen."

"Fiscal crisis Bush Bush fiscal crisis Bush's fiscal crisis debt fiscal crisis debt Bush's debt fiscal crisis debt fiscal crisis crisis crisis."

Get it, Dems? What, exactly, is wrong with you?

1. Bush's fiscal meltdown....
You are right they should attack Bush and the repubs relentlessly on this. He chose tax cuts for the wealthy over fiscal responsibility and discipline. He used our money paid for S.S. and now he doesn't want to pay it back.

5. Couldn't agree more.
When are more dems going to start standing up for this country. Maybe they can take some lessons from Mrs Boxer, Mrs McKinney, or Conyers.
