Crazy But Topical Northern California Earthquake Question
If you do not believe the California folk legend that animals can "predict" earthquakes -- read no further.

My usually calm cat has been going berserk for the last hour (about 6PM to 7PM) - sniffing everywhere, jumping to new heights, crawling into previously unexplored spaces under furniture and behind furniture, etc. Strange meows. (No, she's neither in heat or pregnant - she's been spayed).

I have my scanner on the police/fire/emt channels - no seismic activity. Anything outside of the SF Bay area?

1. no activity up in northern Humboldt, and my cats are inanimate...
...furballs on the bed and in front of the stove. An 8.0 might get an annoyed stretch or two out of them.

2. USGS reported a 1.3 (nuthin) in Los Altos
about 15 miles away about 20 minutes ago. Just popped up on their site.

Who knows?
