Given the current state of our "News" media,
should "Latest Breaking News" censor some traditional sources (e.g. CNN&FOX) and allow some non-traditional, but truth seeking sources?

1. Broken and usurped
The profit making wing of media has taken over the news. No longer a job of reporting what is actually happening. It has become a scare machine whipping up all manner of frights and scares to keep viewers rivetted to their pronouncements.

2. Exactly

Before I quit watching TV entirely, my attitude for years has been "Lets see what they want me to believe now". I long ago gave up trusting anything I ever heard on any news, I just try to look at what they want me to think, see who the story favors, see who the sponsors are who paid for this, and use all that to try and figure out what the REAL story might be.

It's all about the money. Money from the administration, money from the megacorp sponsors, money from anybody with an agenda. I mean, reporting what's REALLY going on isn't going to get you any cash - the truth is free, bullshit costs money. To get your grubby mitts on that cash you have to put your vast resources to work for someone specific.

3. The so called "news" shows
are fast becoming irrelevant because the real investigative reporting is being done by independent bloggers who are not hindered by company policy and political bias. MSM has stopped giving the facts and only give the latest talking points/spin that their corporate masters have decided that they want the masses to hear. They have become the modern day equivalent of the "Leisure Suit", they have become out-dated.
