1. 10 Points to Clint...
For belaboring the painfully obvious.

I guess it is easy to miss what we all have to live with, every day, when you live in Marin County.

3. I read a great editorial this weekend about Million Dollar Baby
I haven't seen the movie and from what I've seen and heard, that one of the characters actually does commit sucide in it

but I guess that's not the case--they talk about it but that's as far as it goes

the right wing gets their panties in a bunch so easily over these things and no one ever challenges them

10. I think he was a Republican
But, changed to independent in recent years... however, even when he was a R, he was more liberal than today's Republicans.

12. I Think He's A Liberterian
I think he wants small gov't and want gov't out of nearly everybody's business. That might be a small "r" republican, but not a party repub, and not necessarily a conservative.

15. Yes
He's a declared Libertarian, doesn't much like Repubs or Dems. And he's disavowed being a conservative.

17. Wasn't he a declared R when mayor of Carmel, CA?
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 12:12 PM by American liberal
Did he win on the Libertarian ticket?

On Edit: Checked 10 different online sources and not one mentioned what party he ran for Carmel, CA, mayor on, just that he won more than 72% of the vote.

Here's the only link I found that mentioned that he was a Republican.
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/1/13/114320.shtml

He called himself a libertarian during a 1997 Playboy interview.

19. I don't recall that he declared a party affiliation
in that race. Nor did his opponent.

20. Republicans CLAIM to be libertarians ...

... but that was simply because they were on the outside looking in to Congress for the last 40 years.

Republicans are the OPPOSITE of libertarians. They want government out of your gun locker, but INTO your home.

11. Seems libertarian to me.
I believe Clint is too smart to ever be a Bushite. Artists like that have to be aware of the Bush danger to free expression.

You know that he's not a fundy, LOL.

13. I know he voted for Perot in '92
I get the impression he is getting more liberal as time goes by...alot of liberal actors love working with him (Tim Robbins, Sean Penn, Morgan Freemen etc)

18. Some Conservative Talk Show Hosts Tried To Spoil The Movie By Saying
How It Ends...

Clint said that didn't hurt the box office for Passion Of The Christ...

Or maybe Frank Rich said that in his article on Clint...
