Fuck the bullshit, what about Gannon and Plame!
We're really missing the boat if we're not focusing on the fact that Gannon was privvy to secret CIA documents. Although anyone would be interested by the Jerry Springer-GayWebsite-prostitution aspect of this...That is not the issue. We should consider the fact that this guy is a scumbag prostitute a BONUS! The Plame outing is the issue, along with Gannon's relationship with the Press Sec. and the White House.

Hey, how 'bout this?
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 01:04 PM by all_hail_gwb
He and "*Scooter*" *Libbey* were lovers and that's where he got the *Plame* info.

Maybe the *WH* use him as the one who leaked the info!

We need the real news not this jerry springer trailer trash shit. It is NOT helping. It's making us libs look like we are obsessing over his bedroom practices as much as the freeps do...

3. What do you suggest?
Where do you suggest we go for more information....I agree that this is important but it seems to me that this is almost a dead-end unless his testimony before the grand jury is released....and, even at that, what if he claimed that he's a journalist and doesn't have to give up his sources? Dead end again?

I just don't know where to go to get any more info..

Suggestions?

8. From what I've seen, it seems like more time is being spent on the
trashy side of the story, rather than the Treasonous side of the story...I wasn't aware that he testified in front of the grand jury, I thought he was interviewed by the FBI

17. If Gannon tries to protect his sources send him to Jail
Just like the journalists that have been threatened and or actually sent to prison. Hmmm.... Then again that may be rewarding him.

5. I think Gannon is full of shit
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 01:06 PM by BurtWorm
He seems like a power groupie to me. I could be wrong, but I'm beginning to think he's a nothing who wants to pretend to be something.

He gave an intereview to editorandpublisher.com last Friday. This is what he says about Plame.

http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000799182

On the Plame probe

Guckert said that contrary to many press reports, he was never subpoenaed by the special prosecutor and has never testified before a grand jury in the case. But he said he was interviewed by two FBI agents in his home for about 90 minutes last year.

"I answered their questions truthfully and honestly, but I would prefer not to say more,” he said. “I assume the information was routed back and that is why I was not called to testify."

Although he hinted that he had not seen a classified CIA document after all, he added, "I am not going to speak to that. It goes to something of a nature I do not want to discuss."

PS: I think he wants us and his pals to think he's been let in on the Plame secret. I doubt he has been.

6. Rep. Louise Slaughter has requested...................
all related documents from the White House concerning this issue. I'm sure the White House will be forthcoming with ALL related material. :eyes:

There ARE people on this. It isn't going to be fast or easy, not with THIS bunch of criminals, but there are on-going investigations.

Patience people, patience.

9. and I'm sure the WH will expeditiously release ALL the docs, just like
they did with the monkey's military records...or they'll claim executive privilege, or national security.

10. You've got the right idea, goodboy.
I'm starting to think the focus on his homosexuality is a deliberate distraction, ala David Ferrie regarding JFK's assassination.

Read my signature link for the real deal.

13. Funny, I thought of Ferrie as well, but have changed my mind about
the larger issue. I don't think it's the Plame outing (although that's really infuriating and treasonous).

It's their methods. It's the Karl Rove School of Better Governance. The Plame case is simply one instance of their criminality. So, today I'm thinking, I almost don't care which instance becomes the tipping point.

14. The Plame issue is #1. No doubt.
Equal opportunity at WH conferences for left wing website writers is #2.

#3 the allegation of being gay SHOULD NOT DIE. It is important for this reason. Hypocrisy and their persecution of gays.

Instead of observing the scandal as if you were reading the Natl Enquirer in a check-out line or enjoying the scandal by joking around at the water cooler or on DU.....the knowledge should be used effectively.

Effective means the exposure of hypocrisy. The follow up to every on air preachings by Bennett, Robertson, Falwell, Jones and all those nutty Senators and Representatives should be a reminder of humanness.

Effective also means serious refutation to every accusation of moral inferiority of Democrats. Yes, the jokes help some people to see through the hypocrisy. However, this should be a serious topic of defense against their persecution of Gays.

MSM and the WH will do whatever they can to kill the story. Dems should not let it die, but keep it going for as long as it takes UNTIL THEY STOP PERSECUTING GAYS.

It is ammunition for a social injustice and bigotry.

18. At the end
of the story is the Why is this important? section....

Pretty much focuses on the security/lack of security issue which leads (ultimately) to the question of "Who in the WH put Gannon /Guckert in plcace"
