Let's not miss the point of the Gannon scandal

Jeff Gannon willingly and eagerly whored himself out to the White House to provide softball questions to the admnistration.

Bushco willingly and eagerly used his "services" to further their agenda.

I believe Bushco eagerly used him because Gannon is a cheap trick. He has no moral compass. He sells his body for bucks - not because he has to....but because he likes it. Selling his "journalistic" abilities is child's play.

The point is not how a gay male prostitute could somehow worm his way into the White House Press Corps......the point is that Bushco willingly allowed him there in the first place, knowing full well what he represented.

For two years, they happily called on him to save them from hard questions. For two years, he whored himself to them...and they eagerly used him.


We are still not seeing the whole sordid picture....and will not until all the paperwork is released regarding his applications to the White House daily passes are reviewed independantly. I beleive very strongly that Bushco knew all along who Gannon was and his background.

6. There's More To Stay On Here

All your points are spot on...but the question isn't "Gannon" as much as the door he opens for us.

"Gannon" is the tip of a large Repugnican/Corporate Media enterprise that is designed to spread misinformation, distortions and attack any critics using "credible media" as their shield. To cover their asses, they have an alternative media that relentesly attack the "credible media" they've infiltrated through spreading money and perks.

Surely many in that Press room who saw "Jeff" every day knew about his "News Organization" (700,000 daily hits my ass) and had to wonder what was up with the totally partisan "questions" he was asking. Surely someone had to wonder about this guy's background, just like top professionals would when their ranks is being invaded by an obvious ringer. We still have yet to hear from any of these "journalists" other than Dana Milbanks saying he thought "Gannon" had a hard press pass...and Milbanks wasn't the one who was always at those conferences. Where's David Gregory, John King, Ann Compton and the other WH beat reporters on this? Scared shitless!

"Gannon" is only a mule in this cartel. We have to keep pushing and digging and posting and keeping the media side of this story alive...and force this regime to answer how this obvious phony breeched security so easily, how he was able to access the materials that led to Plame's outting and who his bosses really are.

Let's stay at it folks and not let this one fade. Our biggest enemy is the Corporate Media who sees how this story will both expose them and destroy what remaining credibility they have. Even worse, it could destroy the careers of some big money talking heads and they'll fight tooth and nail against the truth to protect their egos and access.

Gannon told Wilson in an interview that he'd been a recipient of the secret memo on Plame. WHY him? Why would a fake new 'journalist' have access to such material??? Gannon was subpoenaed by Fitzgerald.

We need to slap this guy under oath, in front of a jury, and ask him a couple of "friendly" questions. Then let's have parties for a bunch of his "non-acquaintance".

What we need is a media "wonkette"...a media-type who hangs out around that Press Room and sees what goes on in that operation. I'm starting to see some flames pop out of the smoke...and it's coming from that office!
