rant: the illegal invasion and occupation has reached KGs family
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 06:03 PM by KG
a close nephew, his marine unit recently arrived in kuwait. looks like he will end up in iraq.

just to be clear - i will not be moderating my position on this cluster-fuck of a 'war' or the criminals that lied to the people to make it happen. if anything, i may get more irritable and radical.

so, lets be straight up shall we? he is not 'defending my freedoms'. he's a pawn in a sick deadly shell game, cooked up by greedy capitalists and neo-cons, using the religiously insane as drum beaters, and abbeted by a craven um, 'oppostion' party.

so, fuck the PNAC signatories, the bush admins., and the dems that voted for the IWR, esp. leiberman and gephardt, who couldn't wait to hand over the keys to war to an ignorant simian. their photo op in the rose garden makes me want to puke every time i see it.

so, fuck the pigboys, hannities, humes and coulters blitzers of the world. they best not run into me alone on the street. they, along with any freeptard thats want to fuck with me on this subject will find out personally what that 'boot up the ass' thing is really all about. i got 2 pair, just in case i wear out the first one. i'll get more if i need to.

so, fuck the american bush worshipping morons who have fallen for the propaganda, and the rah-rah military age chickenshits young repukes cheerleading from the safety of their college campuses. geez has this country forgotten viet nam already? i have reached the considered opinion that i live in the dumbest country on the face of the planet

oh, and fuck all the 'i'm against the war but we gotta stay and finish the job' idiots. how many more iraqis and allied soldiers gotta die for this stupid rationalization? iraq is FUBARed beyond and fix this country can effect. maybe a referendum of the iraqi people, you know, the people that ACTUALLY FUCKING LIVE THERE should deteremine wheather they want the US to clean up the mass. i got a feeling they'd like to see us gone. let's get the fuck out of there TO-FUCKING-DAY! GODDAMMIT!

there's a long list of others assort pea-wits and assholes i'd like to flip a bird at. but i type too slow and i'm pissed off and i think i've made my point.

here's hoping my nephew comes back, and returns as the same sweet gentle soul he when he left.

whew.

1. My best friend is going...
We both grew up very poor in Philly and he thinks its his only chance to go to college. WE both hate * and this war but he thinks he has no other choice. it makes me sad cuz we've been brothers for 6 years.

43. Yeah
I moved to FL and lost contact with him for about a 2 years...When I finally got a hold of him he had already signed up. He's already been to boot camp and is almost done with most of his training. He's supposed to have most of the month of april off and we plan on getting together for awhile before they ship off.

5. In a world where Justice ruled,
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, and all the rest of Bush Inc. would be considered to be war criminals sitting in a docket at the Hague. Instead, they're still holding positions of power with about half of the morons in this country believing they are "great American leaders" (who can't be seen in public without an American flag pin in their lapels).

We are living through a "reign of terror" similar to that of the French Revolution. The only difference is that we don't have a guillotine in plain view. Rather, we ship suspected "enemies" off to other countries to be tortured, or we put up with torture at Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, etc.

As Pogo (Al Capp) once said, "We have met the enemy and he is us."

9. Mine fears draft will hurt his humaneness, still too young to go.
The problem is not just getting killed, but all the crap you have to learn and do otherwise. There is something basically really wrong with taking these guys we've spent years on teaching how to get along and how to share and how to be humane and teaching them and making them be in inhumane conditions. How can you expect these kids to be normal and be able to live normally afterwards? Rhetorical question which can probably be gone into by vets who have served and survived (strike self on head, of course survived) but I just won't ever understand.

back safe, sound, and able to function. In fact, I hope he never has to go. He's not here yet, I can still hope! Please tell him we are sorry we let our president get him into this and we are working on getting him out as hard as we can!

BTW, I am a Christian, just not a raving lunatic, I hope that doesn't offend you.

I love your username, as well. Don't feel bad about the Christian issue. I know exactly where you're coming from. For a while there, I felt betrayed that "they" seemingly took my good faith and made it a dirty name. It's like we have to defend ourselves as Christan's while still believing in the fight for injustice, wars based on horribly sinful lies, etc... When the dust settles (though) we realize it is them that are in deed horrible, and yes sinfully wrong, not us.

It's the mass mind fuck of the MSM and our "culture" in general.

Kill a sand n****** for the flag and 911! That about sums up some 40-80% of the country. Give or take a few since I have zero statistical research on assholishness at my fingertips...yuck.

Remember the El Salvador thing? I had 24 male draft bait relatives at that time, including my only brother.

And still do. Think about it.

On edit: this.

I'm sorry for every time I didn't say anything to keep the family peace. I'm sorry for every time I didn't stand on a street corner and HOWL.

I don't want to be sorry any more for any new compunction. If I SEE a recruiter or a recruitee, I will make a HUGE ass of myself because being an ASS is better than grieving a life or a moment.

just my humble .02

my nephew was over there - I was glued to the statistics - followed all of the casualties - followed all of the reports about his outfit.

He was in the first big Fallujah calamity and was sent home wounded.

He is supposed to go back soon or maybe he is already.

Nobody is telling me and I'm not asking.

33. My friends son joined last year
Barely 18. He is still in training. The recruiter told them he wouldn't have to go to Iraq and they believe it. His brother is joining this summer.

And I don't believe it. I am sad and it is hard to talk to her when she is proud and hopeful and glad they won't go to war. I don't say much.

I have the anger and the fears you do...even for the kids I don't know! Kids are foolish and brave and you just worry that even if they get home uninjured...they will have seen too much through their young eyes.

We need a military, we need prepared soldiers, but we don't need to send them off for this kind of crap. What an outrage.

Our kids and their kids...bless them all. Let ours come home, let theirs return to peaceful lives.
