1. Riddle me this...
Why is that the Republican bloggers who unraveled Rathergate--were touted as uber-intelligent guys who were merely astute, detailed-oriented Gods of the Internet who heroically saved the day by questioning "letter spacing" and "MS word wrap?"

However, the Dem bloggers who cobbled together the GuckGan story are positioned as gossip-mongering, salivating weasels who are out to destroy lives, ruin careers and shatter the lives of innocent, unsuspecting people just doin' their jobs!

Republican bloggers: Patriotic purveyors of truth and justice!
Democratic bloggers: Pansy-Ass snitches!

Why is this?

aka Gopusa (as guckert etc calls it)....you may not remember this but way back in 1979 jimmy carter's last budget ran a deficit of $58 billion, and it was front page lead story news for a couple weeks, horror of horrors!.....within 2 years reagan was running $200 plus billion deficits, the first of many... and it was in the financial section, not even front page. I wish someone who has nexus/lexus(?) would look up the 2 stories, and the way the media presented them to the people....the same self serving bias has been loosed friom any restraint under geeb (bush family nikname for jr, a variation on john ellis bush's nikname jeb according to fox'news')

2. Bloggers and Journalists
PBS' blurb about the segment:
Media Correspondent Terence Smith speaks with Jay Rosen, a professor of journalism at New York University and author of the Presslink weblog, Jim Geraghty, author of the TKS weblog at National Review Online, and David Gergen, Professor of Public Service at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, about how the rise of Internet bloggers is impacting mainstream journalism.
