It had nothing to do with her client's legal defense. Stewart even laughed and boasted about trying to fool the authorities into believing she was talking about the cleric's legal defense.

7. That's pretty much the jist of it

She signed an agreement with the government that she would not pass messages to his buddies and would not bring people in to visit him for that purpose. All discussions with any visitors were to center around his case only.

She violated that agreement. She admitted she did and her own words in the injunction proved her guilty. Dislike of a law is not an excuse to violate it.
