Bush has declared war on Humphrey's "moral test of government"
Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 07:45 PM by Bluebear

"The moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children (those who are in the twilight of life); the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life -- the sick, the needy, the handicapped."--Hubert Humphrey

Instead of taking care of those Americans, it's now MORE taxcuts for the rich. MORE for Halliburton. MORE for pharmaceutical firms. MORE for asbestos-mongers. And less and less for the children, the seniors, the needy, the sick.

3. Hubert Humphrey was a true Democrat and a true American
Bush is a schmeckle (i.e., not big enough to be a schmuck).
