My son just graduated MCRD on Feb 4 2005. I won't kid myself I know he is bound for Iraq. I went to San Diego to see him graduate and it broke my fucking heart. Lefty that I am I was shocked at how proud I was of him but the realist in me was just mourning for his future.

I cried my eyes out when they put that medal on him. He now belongs to them and I know he is cannon fodder. My beautiful baby the very first one I had and he was so loved so very welcomed. I remember his red hair and green eyes sleeping on my breast like it was yesterday.

He loved the Dukes of Hazard and their funky car. He loved carrots. He loved Optimus Prime. And I loved him with a passion I had never known. Now I can not sleep or eat because I fear for his life.

David Frum and his ilk can kiss my fucking ass. My Benny now fights for him and his oil rich buddies. My heart will never be the same.
