Since Guckert has lawyered up, could arrest or indictment be imminent?

We know Guckert has lawyered up based on his statements to E&P about not making any more statements. Could this mean that investigators and prosecutors are closing in?

There is ample evidence of a crime. The man ran an interstate prostitution ring apparently based in Delaware but catering to clientele in Maryland and D.C. so could a federal prosecution be far behind? The evidence is there.

There is also evidence he is involved in the Plame affair and could, quite possibly, be subject to prosecution in that matter himself. There is also the possibility of federal prosecutors cutting a deal on interstate prostitution charges in exchange for turning state's evidence in the Plame matter and turning over a list of clients.

There are further questions. Why is the mainstream media treating this matter in such a cavalier manner? Why aren't they investigating? Why are Democratic Senators afraid to pursue the matter of a prostitute having access to classified CIA information and possibly documents?

The more we learn about this prostitute, the more questions are raised. The only way this thing is going away will be if we the people let it die.

The Dan Rather story has scared off all of the people in the MSM from hitting it hard and going after the risky stories. The last brave few were shut down by the White House, and this is another story that needs ABSOLUTE facts to proceed.

As we keep digging up, this story will come out and cast a light on the whole item of involvement with Bush, Cheney, and others. The topic has a post at the FR with nearly 700 replies now. Apparently this is not just a crackpot theory to them. Other blogs are getting on the bandwagon. I only hope that somebody will get on the ball in the MSM (another Olbermann, or the man himself) and take this to the extent that it could go.

2. There was an article in the Wilm, DE Snooze Journal this a.m.

on "ethical journalists" being an oxymoron. I didn't read it thoroughly (since I was driving at the time), but I didn't see a single mention of Gannon/Guckert. I've gotta go back and disect it.

4. He's been linked to criminal activity

Prostitution is a crime and overwhleming evidence that he was engaged in criminal activity is now out there in the public.

My guess is federal prosecutors are speaking with him and are preparing to cut a deal in exchange for informaiton about clientele and the Plame affair.

I'm just saying he needed someone VERY good to protect him (and the Administration) from himself.

He should have had an attorney from the beginning of this and only released statements via the attorney. The fact that they were letting him run his mouth for so long amazed me.

8. Admittedly, he was stupid from the get-go

and as soon as the tightie whitie shot showed up on every blog investigating him, he should have shut his mouth and lawyered up. It might have gone away at that time.

BUT NO, he HAD to go out and attempt to defend himself wioth Wolfie and Howie and throw down the gauntlet, taunting bloggers into digging deeper.

He, in his mind he was untouchable. Trying to use the victim angle wasn't really a bad idea, but he should have done it through an attorney. He shouldn't have tried to defend his own honor, such as it is.

He's a nobody and the powers-to-be would love nothing more than to give some nobody shit the blame for the Valerie Plame incident thus diverting us from the real truth of who committed this crime.
