Custer Battles Bru-ha-ha a way to discredit the Kurds?
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 01:07 PM by MsTryska
what are y'all's thoughts on that?

I was watching NBC/MSNBC last night, and they both had pretty big segments on the Custer Battles security forces killing civilians thing.

It appeared in the story, that altho the former employees said they didn't want anything to do with the company due to the war crimes, the blame seemed to rest squarely on the soldiers of Kurdish kids they had hired on.

Seems odd that this would come out after the official tally of the iraqi elections.

3. I don't know, it's just funny that C-B is so prominently in the news-the
government apparently has until this Friday to explain why the CPA is NOT considered under the auspices of the United States. C-B is claiming that they can't be prosecuted for fraud (if you haven't watched that video, do it, it will make you sick to hear how rampantly C-B defrauded, ultimately, us, the taxpayers.)

The Bush administration's position "The U.S. Justice Department elected not to join with DRC because the alleged fraud was against the coalition authority, which while heavily funded by the United States, was not in itself a federal agency, said a Virginia-based lawyer for DRC."

Ridiculous! If this gets by, it will be one more example of Bush administration not being accountable for fraud with taxpayer money. It's also interesting that the Congressional Oversight committees aren't looking into this, but instead a Democratic hearing committee.
