7. Yeah, but this is second term
She probably has wanted to sling her well-Cloroxed fist around for some time now, but had to wait until a second term to avoid any comparisons to Senator Clinton.

6. He was caught...
...faking the Bull Fries with veal?

Seriously, there's never enough mention of the fact that *'s favorite food is fried bull testicles. Obviously, something psychological is going on there.

Anyway, wasn't the kitchen staff supposed to be jubilant at the return of the Bush family to the White House? I remember, distinctly, leaks to the press about how the chef and his staff were brown nosing them. Never heard anything official from the staff, of course, but it was mentioned to the point of nausea by Rush. This was about the same period as the "Clinton's pillage White House and AF1" leaks.

9. i assume it's because of the article about the coronation feast
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 01:32 PM by peacebird
where the chef mentioned that he had never been forced to use cocacola as an "ingredient" before, and he said how challenging it had been to find uses for krispy creme donuts and dunkin donuts... (he used one in the STUFFING for the turkey...} gack....

i'll look for the link - he eventually decided to "brine" the turkey in coke...

...:puke:

No one should have to come up with a menu using those ingredients. That should be a crime.

19. "pretzel-related snackfood activity programs"
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 02:06 PM by nostamj
is my guess...

from THE CHRONICLES OF BOSH...

Mister Bosh longs for snack foods

But Missus Bosh has put both beige pumps
Down on the imperial, red, wall-to-wall carpet.

And so, no twisted or straight; no mini or King;
No soft or crunchy; no plain, unsalted or honey mustard–

Yum! But Missus Bosh has set her sensible shoes
Down and stated:

Cranberries! You don't have to cough up feathers
If you don't keep birds in your room.

And you know the dogs cannot be trusted to respond
In an emergency. I'll bring you Jello.

And your wooden spoon.

Missus Bosh kisses Mister Bosh's new boo-boo.

Mister Bosh salts his palm and licks it clean.
Thinks: Not the same. Asks Missus Bosh: Red?

Missus Bosh scolds him with that smile.
As if I'd bring something blue or green–

Mister Bosh stiffens in the chair. His helpful hump
Tingles. Incoming.

The green tastes exactly like broccoli.
They tried to serve that to my Dad.

Missus Bosh chides him with her other smile.
Yes, you have said so and often. So often Mister Bosh.

But Mister Bosh has drifted off
And now he dreams of pretzel armies
Marching on the endless red imperial carpet.
Armies of pretzels and collateral snacks–
Popcorn, peanuts, chips–
Crushed together into the stained and shredding
Imperial red carpet.

20. Diaries of BB comment
From the Diaries of Barbara Bush:

"So I see from reading the NY Times that Little Miss Perfect, the librarian, has fired the head chef at the White House because he didn't fit her 'style'.

As if she had any."

22. In all seriosness, why does this matter?
It's her staff; she can do what she wants.

I would probably fire a chef after four years just out of boredom.
