THIS HOUR ON NPR: REPORT ON DATA MINING BY CHOICEPOINT
All Things is going to do a story on ChoicePoint... one of the nation's biggest data miners.... on this hour's (EST) segment.

Given that the government is relying more and more on these private services... it should be interesting.

5. Not just Californians - we KNOW about CA because they require disclosure
THAT's what's really scary. Probably people in every state were affected, but we may never know.

8. It Wasn't That Good.......... But a few weeks ago.....
I was disappointed by the report. But a few weeks ago Terri Gross had someone as a guest that exposed the connections between the feds and these data mining companies. They use them to get around legal restrictions. I'll try to find a link.

11. Weren't
they involved in stopping 'felons' (read Blacks or Democrats) from voting in Fla? How far are we away from Big Brother and total control by FASCISM or CORPORATISM?
