Jerry Falwell co-hosting Crossfire? What's up with that?
I understand that CNN wants representatives of the left and the right, but shouldn't the bounds of decency be considered?

Jerry Falwell is a nasty, hateful, old bigot, who doesn't even try to hide the fact that he is.

By having Foulsmell co-host Crossfire, CNN tacitly endorses the "gays caused 9/11" world view as being a legitimate political viewpoint, rather than the hateful rantings of a bitter old man.

2. Tucker Carlson was a paleo-con. He wouldn't be a tool of the WH.
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 08:20 PM by applegrove
He had to go. Now Karl has a whole stable of kool-aid drinkers. I didn't adore the old Conservatives - but compared to propagate and wing-nuts & freepers ... there is no contest. That is why Tucker had to go!! I bet you it was the WH who ousted him. I bet you they were the ones who wanted him gone. Novak drinks the Kool-Aid and apparently has a red phone directly to Rove. Tucker didn't. As much as Liberals didn't like him - he did occasionally think in shades of grey. IMHO

10. Tucker refused to spread the 'message of the day' and he
did the most horrid thing: when something was wrong... he admitted it was wrong. :wow:

16. making him an editor was all a fiendish plot to convert him?
dunno exactly when he started working for them, pre-Monica at least - that's when he first oozed onto the screen.

he is still a contributing editor for them.

I do think there is a difference between the neocons and the Rovbots. I think the neocons lost control.

"Rovbot"? What is that even supposed to be? Rove is a slick dirty trickster who sold his last scruple at some point in the early 70s, but he isn't the one crafting crazy war plans that get thousands of people butchered.

he's just the salesman... and I bet he probably masturbates to the threads painting him as some omnipotent evil genius. In his dreams.

27. No Rovbot is a problem - it is called propaganda. neocons
could not have done it without him. And he controls them..afterall wasn't it Rove in the secret basement room walking in every single day to the "Iraq War Planning Committee" or whatever the hell it was called and pointing out all the "important information"? It was him .... oh yes it was. Also the final decision on War with Iraq was not made by Rumsfield or Powel or Cheney or Rice in conjunction with Bush. Bush made that final decision "on his own".

So yes - neocons are dangerous utopians who would have gotten into office and tried to cause havoc and take over the world in a night-watchman way and bring back the ghost of Disraeli. And bring back pride in America. And shake a stick and solve middle east problems. Rove is the one that pushes the confidence in things that will help him build his empire (remember that he Republicans will be in power for 20 years according to Rove). Cheney, Rumsfield, et all did believe WMD existed. Guess who was stirring the pot!! Guess who was presenting the evidence or 'finding it'?

Sociopaths love a good delusional (or a whole pile of them in the case of the neocons).

30. And Rove & Bush were going to go for Texas Governor in 1990.
So they are pretty much the same entity. Who do you think was cleaning up the puke for 15 years?

None of this would have happened had it not been for Rove and the Rovbots!

6. I guess that CNN
like the Democratic party, has made the decision that the way to hold onto power is to be seen as part of the "God Squad," like the Republicans.

I mean let's face it; God is a hot commodity these days.

for speaking badly of Condi. Raul Emmanuel was on and told Novak "Bob, gimme a break".
I have never watched that shitty excuse for a political forum again.
